From Good to Bad: Air Quality Impacts of Wildfires Made Visible

This short clip shows wildfire smoke obscuring the sky and making nearby hills disappear. While this year’s wildfire season in the western US is not over yet, a lot of people have already had to breathe very bad air. Longer and more intense wildfire seasons, hurricanes, or tornadoes are some of the more extreme effects of climate change and global warming. What will it take for us to wake up and really do something about it?

Who needs a solar filter when you have crappy air quality instead? Believe it or not, those are sunspots, not a dirty lens.

    Polluted Cities Take Action

The idea that #cities and local municipalities can take action when the central government will not seems to be highly accurate. Some of the world's most #polluted cities - several of which are located in India and #China - are actually the ones leading the charge towards a more #sustainable future. Day 211: And Darkness Fell

Those smoke from those forest fires in BC are managing to sneak across the Rockies and definitely affect our skies. Can't imagine what it must be like in the midst of it all! via 500px ift.tt/2vF4aEN

    Wildfire Sunset at the Marina

Global warming? or just another bad fire season caused by dry-hot conditions in the BC interior. The smoke has blanketed two-thirds of the province and has drifted as far south to the lower mainland and our neighbours in Washington state. Worst fire season in nearly 60 years.
